After talking over what I wanted to do with the tutor and what I have done. We decided that I should just use one of the patterns that I have already created. This means I will no longer be carrying on with the idea of water features and arcs. From some of the previous experiments that I did do in the pattern maker I re wrote my code so that it used loops and have decided to use the pattern above as my initial structure. I am still using my orignal idea of repeating the same shape within itself multiple times im just doing it in a grid format now. I have brainstormed a few things regarding colour and what I want to experiment with. I have found some new precedents which support my new idea as well.
Precedent One: Piet Mondrian
Piet Mondrian. I have picked to use him as a precedent as I like the structure and colour that he offers me. He uses the grid in an interesting and creative way.
Precedent Two: Sarah Hughes
I really like this piece of design by Sarah Hughes. Just as I wanted to use her previously I still want to use her now. I like the idea pf repeating the same shape inside of itself multiple times.
Precedent Three: Anton Stankonwski:
Basically I have chosen these images because i think they are great examples of how you can use colour and the grid and then make slight alterations to create something that is still structured but in a different way.
