Fluid From Precedents

Below are the two Precedents I have found for the DSDN11 project, exploring fluid form.  The first precedent is a snake skeleton. I found the composition of the snake interesting how it curled aswel as all the lines and components which made up the snakes skeleton. The second is the complete opposite, using straight lines and grids to create a structured composition.

The Curve

This precedent has lots of organic forms which creates an interesting picture. It is asymmetrical and looks balanced in composition. The use if overlapping and curves represents the snake well.
  The Straight Line

Piet Mondrian has used line and geometric shapes to create a very structured piece. The use of the primary colours creates a nice contrast within the work aswel as colour blocking which gives your eye something to rest on. All of the lines run into another line creating oa grid.

In my model I want to show the shape that the snake can form as well as using the contrast of line in the gaps of the curves formed by the snake shape.
